Wladyslaw Struk

Janina Struk's Polish father never told her how close he came to being stranded in Nazi-occupied France. But after he died – thanks to a postcard – she traced his lucky steps.
The postcard from St-Jean-de-Luz, on which the young Wladyslaw, a Polish airman, wrote: 'I was in this place on 23 June 1940 at two in the afternoon.'
