The Beret Project Censored in Myanmar

My friend A, presently living in Burma / Myanmar, received the following message when trying to access this web site:

Effectively, this means that The Beret Project is officially censored in Burma (and I am proud of that!). Strange though, with all these generals donning their hats...

  1. Sadly, this is a Buddhist country. Buddhism became a religion with clergy (monks) who then imposed themselves on the people. The religion aligned itself with the government and military and the three conspired to keep and enhance their power at the expense of the Buddha's teachings. In the end, the people suffer.
